Firstly many thanks go to Ian Tomlinson for the work he did on the Cabby soundtrack. We requested a large amount of work from him very late into the project, and he came through with some amazing work.

So here it is for those who would like to listen to the music at their leisure.

We are pleased to announce that this afternoon both Cabby and Cabby Lite have been approved by Apple and are now available on the iTunes App store.

About Cabby

Cabby is a side-on 3D thrust-based game which puts the player in the driving seat of a flying taxi! Select from 10 different vehicles and fly through 15 unique levels, collecting customers and parcels as you go. Get your customers to their destinations as quickly as possible to earn a big tip!

Features

10 playable taxis. Each taxi has its own unique handling style, as well as some basic statistics (weight/power) which has a further affect.
15 levels; including Arctic, desert, city, underwater and space themes.
2 game modes: Career mode lets you play one level after another to earn as much money as possible, unlocking items as you go; Arcade mode allows you to play a one-off shift using any unlocked taxi or level.
3 atmosphere types – move seamlessly between air, water and space! Each atmosphere behaves as it does in real life.
All levels are realised in full 3D.

FAQ

1. How do I unlock levels so that I can play them in Arcade Mode?
You unlock levels by playing Career Mode, and each time you reach a new level it will be available in Arcade Mode.

2. How do I unlock more taxis?
In Cabby there are two types of taxi: basic and exotic. Of the basic taxis the yellow and black cab are available from the start.

To unlock the exotic taxis you have to complete the game; completing the game once will unlock the first exotic taxi, a second time will unlock the second, and so on.

Upon completing the game the player can also unlock the 3 remaining basic taxis, but only if they have achieved certain goals during the course of their playthrough. These goals are as follows:-

Tow Truck
If you run out of fuel but manage to land safely on a port, the tow truck will be called out to pick you up and you will be taken back to your home/garage port (for a fee!). If you do this at least once during Career Mode, you will unlock the Tow Truck at the end of the game.

Delivery Van
The delivery van is unlocked once you have successfully delivered 20 or more parcels in Career Mode. Parcels collected are accumulated over the course of multiple playthroughs, so this one may only be possible on your third or fourth game completion! If you do manage to reach 20 parcels, the delivery van is unlocked at the end of the game.

Hot Rod
The Hot Rod is unlocked once you’ve spent $10,000 or more on fuel in Career Mode. Again, the amount spent on fuel accumulates over the course of multiple playthroughs. If you do manage to reach the milestone of spending over $10,000 on fuel, then you will unlock the Hot Rod at the end of the game.

Still stuck?
If you’re still having problems, then you can gain more lives using the following “99 Lives” cheat!

From the main menu enter the “Options” screen. Tap the Cabby logo 50 times and, if done correctly, you will hear a success jingle. This will give you 99 lives in Career Mode!

We have just submitted our new game Cabby – as well as a free demo version intriguingly entitled Cabby Lite – to Apple.

Cabby is a side-on 3D thrust-based game which puts the player in the driving seat of a flying taxi!

We are currently in the process of revamping our website, but you can expect more information about Cabby (including loads of screenshots and videos) when these changes go live…which will hopefully be over the next few days.
