About Air Cadets
Air Cadets is a 3D arcade flying game that pushes the iPhone and iPod touch to their limits!
Dive, climb, twist and turn your aircraft around 5 unique levels with the iPhone or iPod touch’s accelerometer and touch screen interface!
Air Cadets features 4 game modes, 6 original characters, 3 original aircraft and 5 unique levels. It also includes 3 levels of difficulty with each having its own level layout per mode – so that means there are a possible 25 combinations to play! The objective of the game is to beat your own high scores in each of the game’s modes.
Air Cadets also features 3 control types, each utilising the iPhone and iPod touch’s unique touch screen and accelerometer interface. The first control type places all of the game’s controls on screen (this mode is for beginners, or those who are after an old fashioned gaming experience!) The second control type uses a combination of on screen buttons together with tilt controls to steer the aircraft. And the third control type uses full tilt controls, allowing the player to both steer and change their aircraft’s altitude by simply tilting their iPhone or iPod touch in the direction they wish to go! Each control type brings with it a unique challenge, why not master them all?

x4 Game Modes
Free Flight
Free flight allows the player to fly freely around any level using their own choice of character and aircraft.
Ring Run
The objective of the Ring Run mode is fly through as many mid-air gates as the times allows. Bonus points are awarded for every full circuit the player completes. But crashing the aircraft will result in a points penalty.
Balloon Burst
In Balloon Burst, each level will be swarming with helium filled balloons which the player must pop in order to earn points. The colour of the balloon determines how many points the player will earn.
Coin Collect
The objective of the Coin Collect mode is to fly around each level collecting as many coins as they can in the time given. Collecting coins earns points, and in each level there are also dog tag items which are worth more!
x6 Characters (cadets)
Taku Age: 19 / Gender: Male
Taku is a talented young pilot who can sometimes be quite reckless. His father is a famous retired pilot, who can often be found helping repair Taku’s aircraft in their workshop. Taku’s flying style is often put down to his attempt to escape his father’s shadow and to live up to his family name.

Earl Age: 52 / Gender: Male
Earl is a highly experienced pilot who is currently an airline pilot for Lookfar Air. He is a very cautious pilot but extremely dependable. In his spare time he is also an instructor.

Mito Age: 27 / Gender: Male
Mito was once a pilot for the military, but he is now considered one of the most reliable local air pirates who is an expert smuggler. Despite his line of work, he is actually intelligent, amiable and charming. In fact you could also say that he is a bit of a lady’s man.

Fio Age: 21 / Gender: Female
Fio is a young pilot who works for her father’s haulage firm. She is a fast learner and also an expert mechanic – which helps considering her father’s aircraft is now over 20 years old and is constantly breaking down!

Mei Age: 32 / Gender: Female
Mei has been flying her whole life but has only recently earned her wings to fly in the military. Considering female pilots in the military are still quite rare, she always flies as if she has something to prove – which can make her a force to be reckoned with.

strong>Uki Age: 25 / Gender: Female
Uki is a highly skilled but cautious pilot who runs her own air tours company. Her parents joked that as a child she always had her head in the clouds. She earned her pilot’s license when she was only sixteen and since then she is rarely seen on solid ground! She now has countless flight hours to her name which would put most experienced pilots to shame.

x3 Aircraft
1911 Cayley 30C “Cloud Walker”
The 1911 Cayley 30C (codenamed “Cloud Walker”) is a slow but highly agile biplane. It was originally built for crop dusting, but due to its speed it was soon entered into some of the earliest air races. Despite its agility, however, it can also be quite a handful due to its extreme lightweight. In fact today only the bravest of pilots still fly them, especially considering that the remaining flight-worthy Cloud Walkers are held together with nothing more than bits of wire and string!
1939 West Aviation WA-Mach 3 “Sirocco”
The 1939 West Aviation WA-Mach 3 (codenamed “Sirocco”) is a fighter plane built during The Great War. It is an extremely fast aircraft and was instrumental in victory during the great battle in the skies. Today it is the most popular air racer thanks not only to its now legendary speed, but also to its outstanding build quality.
1913 Schneider 13L “Sea Pig”
The 1913 Schneider 13L (codenamed “Sea Pig”) is a light and extremely agile sea plane. It was used originally as a freight aircraft because of its ability to land anywhere off any coast, and its endurance. In truth, because of its size it wasn’t much of a freight aircraft – it could only just about manage a few parcels and envelopes! – and it was quickly confined to the scrapheap after the invention of the much larger freight aircraft. Not all Sea Pigs were scrapped however, and many years later the few that had survived were being used by air pirates and smugglers alike, who thought that the Sea Pig’s versatility would make it the perfect aircraft for a quick getaway – a useful asset to have if you’re an air pirate!

AFK Airport
AFK Airport is a small airport where young air cadets first learn how to fly in order to earn their wings. It serves long haul flights to and from Golden Fence City. It is also the first airport most pilots will see when they first arrive over land after their long journey across the ocean, so it has often been the scene of some pretty hairy landings where pilots have struggled to land on nothing more than fuel vapour!
Golden Fence City
The City is a bustling metropolis with an escalating population. Despite the invention of the motor vehicle, aircraft still swarm the skies above the city – much to the annoyance of some of its inhabitants. Air races are commonplace in the city as its narrow streets and 90° corners provide a challenging environment for any air racer.
Big Shellfish
Big Shellfish is an abandoned old oil rig located out at sea. Oil reserves beneath the ocean were once abundant, but when supplies from this particular source ran out, the mining firm that owned it went bankrupt. With no other company willing to pay for it to be dismantled, the oil rig still stands to this day. It is now a stop off point for smugglers who often conceal their illegal cargo within its now hollow corridors.
Guillemot Rock
Guillemot Rock is an old lighthouse that overlooks a part of the coast called East Reach Point. The lighthouse helps not only the ships that pass from the razor sharp rocks hidden beneath the ocean’s surface, but also the Air Cadets who use its light as a beacon when flying near the coast. The lighthouse is usually in use 24 hours a day as this part of the coast is often subjected to ferocious storms that blow in off the vast and restless ocean. During one particularly bad storm, a vessel called The Sea Monkey mysteriously emerged from the mist and laid anchor just within sight of the lighthouse. The coast guard was called out and they climbed on board to investigate, but they found no crew. To this very day the vessel is still anchored there and no one is brave enough to climb on board to move it out of the way!
Ingary Isles
The mysterious islands called Ingary Isles are a cluster of floating islands located somewhere in the skies above Golden Fence City. Not many people in the city know they’re there as they are usually obscured by clouds. In fact most city folk think the floating islands are a myth, but they are very real as most Air Cadets will tell you.
